A Life in the Making: How My Journey Led Me Here

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by people—how we relate, what drives us, what makes us thrive or fall apart. I was drawn early on to psychology, sociology, anthropology—all the social sciences that seek to understand what it means to be human.

In my early career, I worked in marketing and communications, and even there, I was constantly exploring what we then called “consumer behavior.” One pivotal experience shaped me deeply:

I was tasked with leading the Venezuelan team in an anthropological study on service, guided by none other than Clotaire Rapaille—a renowned cultural anthropologist and creator of “The Culture Code.” His approach applied anthropological insight to decode the unconscious associations people hold with products, services, and even ideas.

We spent full days with groups of 15–20 people from across the country, diving into how Venezuelan society understands and experiences service. It was immersive, layered, and deeply human. I wasn’t just conducting research—I was sitting in the heart of our culture, listening to stories that revealed much more than consumer habits. Writing the final report felt like more than just research—it was a meaningful deep dive into what makes people connect. That experience ignited my love for anthropology in a whole new way.

Over time, I became increasingly invested in the inner cultures of organizations—the emotional dynamics of teams, the invisible architecture of leadership, the driving forces behind connection and motivation. I watched as coaching began to emerge as a professional path, and I just knew, intuitively, that this was where I belonged. I didn’t know how or when, but I knew I wanted to become a coach.

Life, of course, took its turns. When I first moved to the U.S., I faced all the usual challenges of emigrating—starting over, rebuilding community, adapting to a new rhythm of life. But perhaps the most painful shift was watching my long-term marriage of over 25 years slowly fall apart. We loved each other deeply, but we didn’t have the tools to navigate the complexity of what was unfolding. That experience cracked something open in me. It showed me how vital it is for couples to have support—not just to survive, but to grow, to reconnect, to thrive.

That loss became a powerful motivator. I wanted to gain the tools we never had. I became deeply passionate about understanding what helps relationships thrive, and how people can meet each other with more presence, clarity, and care. As I faced further personal transitions and felt drawn more fully into a spiritual path, I began searching for a way to bring all of this together.

When I found VITA Coaching, it felt like home—a space where psychology, spirituality, and embodied wisdom meet. It offered the kind of heart-centered, integrative training I had been seeking for years.

Was there one moment that changed it all? In many ways, it was a quiet, steady calling that had been with me for a long time. But there was a moment of clarity: during a Family Constellation session, something shifted. I saw, unmistakably, that I was being called to this path. Not someday. Not later. Now. And that realization gave me the courage to step fully into this next chapter.

Starting the VITA training wasn’t a leap into the unknown—it was a deep confirmation. I was already on the right path. This gave me the language, the tools, the structure to trust it. And most importantly, it gave me a framework that allows me to hold powerful space for others.

Coming from the corporate world, I was used to working in a more linear, goal-oriented, masculine mode. VITA helped me balance that with compassion, softness, and intuition. It taught me how to lead with love—without losing my strength. Now, I walk alongside clients with both clarity and care. It’s not either/or. It’s both.

Though VITA is rooted in the realms of love, sex, and relationships, its principles are universal. They support leadership, emotional resilience, and transformation—both personal and professional. I now find myself in a unique position: bridging the world of business with the deeper work of healing and self-discovery. Supporting people not just in their relationships, but in how they show up in every space they enter.

And if I had to describe this journey?

It’s not a butterfly moment. It’s an evolution. A next step. A natural unfolding. When I look back, I see how I’ve been preparing for this work all my life. And now, I’m simply taking the next conscious, aligned step—one that’s been years, maybe decades, in the making.
