About the event
Cultural circles are born from the social-educational perspective of Paulo Freire, which seeks to transcend the banking education that deposits knowledge in individuals and transcend the teacher-student line to view all individuals in a community as active co-creators of knowledge and concepts for the improvement of the community.
With the objective of deep reflection on the shared realities of a community, cultural circles seek to construct concepts, definitions, and visions more in line with the current needs of the community where they are held. During the circle, therapeutic and/or artistic techniques are used to build a common ground for community understanding.
Duration: 2 to 4 hours per meeting.
Proposed topics for the following circles:
Mixed circle: Reflection on community and the merit of collective joy.
